What You’ll Do:
- Overseeing the production process and helping where needed.
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
- Directing employees and training them on each job as needed.
- Minimizing labor hours and consumables on each job.
- Monitoring the production processes and communicating adjustments of the schedule to Production Manager.
- Notifying Production Manager of any malfunctioning or broken equipment.
- Ensuring all tolerances are strictly adhered to as defined by the blueprints.
- Communicates with the Production Manager as to the needs of his department and the status of jobs.
- Working with supervisors to implement the company's policies and goals.
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
- Reviewing worker performance.
- Identifying training needs.
- Distributes jobs and projects ensuring the right employees are on the job.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Who You Are:
- Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing operations and techniques.
- 5 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mentoring/Training type leadership skills.
- Must have excellent listening skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints.
- Have the ability to communicate well with others, motivate, correct and maintain a productive work environment.
- Technically proficient with the equipment and skills utilized in the fabrication department.
- Have the ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
