Truss Painter 2nd shift

The Truss Painter is responsible for prepping, painting, and finishing trusses while ensuring all processes are completed efficiently and correctly. This role includes handling the material through various stages of painting and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.

What You’ll Do:
- Load & Hang Process: Safely and efficiently load and hang trusses for the painting process.
- Wash Process: Understand and correctly process parts through the wash cycle to prepare them for painting.
- Material Prep & Blow Off: Prepare materials by following proper prep and blow-off procedures to ensure quality finishes.
- Masking Process: Accurately mask parts to protect areas from paint and ensure the final product meets required specifications.
- Unload & Palletize: Unload painted trusses and palletize them safely for the next steps in production.
- Maintain Booth & Oven Cleanliness: Regularly clean and maintain the painting booth and oven area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Who You Are:
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires the ability to reach shelves and equipment in high areas without the use of a ladder.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (bending, lifting, reaching, and crouching).
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity to handle small components and painting equipment.
- Capable of operating equipment such as forklifts or hoists as needed.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required:
- Safety glasses or face shield.
- Respirator or appropriate mask when handling chemicals or during the painting process.
- Gloves suitable for chemical handling and general protection.
- Protective footwear (steel-toed boots).
- Protective clothing, such as coveralls, to guard against paint and chemicals.
