Prince Service & Manufacturing is looking for individuals who are ethical, customer focused, problem solvers, flexible, and selfless. A Powder Coat Operator is responsible for applying a layer or layers of paint or powder coating to a product to protect it from the elements and/or make it more aesthetically appealing. Prepares surfaces, cleans product, etc.

Location/Schedule: Macon, GA / 1st shift and 2nd shift available

What You’ll Do:  

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. 
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures. 
  • Applies coatings such as paint, plastic, varnish, or some other type of coating solution to various products. 
  • Prepare surfaces for powder coat material. 
  • Correct imperfections or roughen surface. 
  • Carefully cleanse product to remove dust and dirt. 
  • Dip metal parts in chemical baths to prepare surface. 
  • Cover portions of product with tape and paper. 
  • Fill the machine’s tanks with a mixture of paints or chemicals, adding amounts of solution. 
  • Check product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections. 
  • Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovens. 
  • Observe and adjust any gauges. 
  • Use spray gun to apply any touch-ups needed. 
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. 
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 
  • Documents actions with correct forms. 
  • Willing to perform other manufacturing tasks as directed and when needed. 
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Management. 

Who You Are:  

  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Duties that may require occasional kneeling, standing, stooping, and bending are required. 
  • Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting and standing. 
  • Must be able to work in a heated environment. 
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instruction. 
  • Must have excellent listening skills. 
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
